Frequently Asked Questions
Who can Receive Reflexology?
Reflexology is suitable for anyone regardless of age and state of health
Would Reflexology Interfere with my Medication(s)?
Reflexology works with the body and will not interfere with your medication(s)
How Much Pressure do you Use When Working on the Feet?
Pressure depends on the client's preference and not the effectiveness of therapy. Some clients like a firmer pressure, while others prefer a softer pressure. Reflexology will work regardless of the pressure used
Does a Treatment Hurt?
Clients have different levels of discomfort. When a sensitive reflex is worked there is a level of discomfort, but it should not be painful. I can adjust the pressure or technique to accommodate these areas
Why do I Feel Worse, Instead of Better?
Our bodies sometimes go through a “healing crisis” after receiving your initial treatment of Reflexology. This means the body may be responding to treatment and symptoms may worsen or new symptoms may appear. THIS IS NORMAL. The only time Reflexology is not working is when you feel no change at all. Please follow-up with me if you are concerned and we can talk about it
How Long is the Session to be Effective?
Most therapy sessions are one hour. The general understanding is to have higher frequency of visits rather than longer session times
My Feet are too Ticklish for Reflexology
Feeling ticklish normally isn’t a concern. However, hand reflexology may be a better option for you, if you are concerned about this
Can I Combine Other Therapies While I am Doing Reflexology?
Reflexology is complementary, therefore it is used with other therapies
How Often can I Receive Reflexology?
Reflexology frequency is based on your needs
